I don’t know about you, but my house seems to be the place where all the kids and their friends get together on a Saturday afternoon.  And now, I think I know why.

Not too long ago, we decided to turn our basement into a game room that’s tricked out on all the latest high tech. “wizardry” a kid could only dream of having.  So, in October 2014, we turned that dream into a reality for our kids (and to be completely honest, for my wife and me too!).  We enjoy having the neighborhood children over the house where they can play all of their favorite video games on multiple, larger than life, independently operated 4K flat screens that deliver an explosive, real world experience.  Our state-of-the-art system also offers the latest in “pressurized acoustic technology” that optimizes and channels audio through “intelligent speakers” that create true surround sound.

To complete the picture, we installed theater-styled seating, laser beam lighting, a star-field ceiling and overflow bench seating with a bar area for the adults (We have to have some fun too).

And to top it all off, as we settle down on a Saturday night, my family and I sit back and relax in the comfort and security of our private home theater (Yes, our game room doubles as a theater!).  With the simple touch of a button on our tablet, a 12 foot wide screen descends from a pocket in the ceiling while our digital projector starts to show one of our favorite family flicks.  Doesn’t get much better than that!
